Representing 90+ manufacturer brands, they serve contractors, interior designers, and homeowners across North America through their Shopify store. As their portfolio grew (over 120,000 SKUs), they sought a reliable partner to manage the high-velocity data demands of a multi-brand catalog.

Each of the 90+ manufacturers provided product information differently in their preferred formats—some via automated API feeds, others via spreadsheets and PDFs. Product naming conventions, measurement units (imperial vs. metric), and attribute structures varied wildly across suppliers. Our team had to normalize disparate data points into a single, cohesive Shopify-ready structure without losing critical product details
Products like shower systems or faucet collections often feature 15+ finish options, multiple handle styles, various configurations, and different installation types—creating variant combinations that exceed Shopify's 100-variant and 3 options per SKU limit. To effectively showcase all product variants, an alternative approach was needed.
In the electronics category, minor errors in voltage, dimensions, or compatibility can lead to high return rates. We had to accurately map and verify thousands of technical attributes across 25,000+ SKUs to ensure data integrity and reduce post-purchase friction.
Each manufacturer provided images with different lighting, backgrounds, and angles. Our team had to process and standardize these assets at scale to create a uniform, premium aesthetic that aligned with the client’s high-end brand positioning. Additionally, we had to create multiple visual assets for each SKU: lifestyle shots, dimensional diagrams, installation views, finish close-ups, and 360-degree product views.
The client required updating data for all SKUs on a daily basis to keep the catalog real-time and current. Managing this volume within tight daily windows required a high-performance data processing workflow to ensure price fluctuations and stock levels remained accurate.
To increase Average Order Value, the client wanted to offer bundle deals. This required specialized Shopify app integrations and custom backend configurations to ensure that inventory status, dynamic pricing, and SKU-level tracking for each component in a bundle remained perfectly synchronized during checkout.
